Draft night runbook.

Nothing here needs an internet connection to read once it is printed.
Before the draft
- Board rebuilt recently. Check the age stamp on the board
before you trust its ranks tonight; a build from days ago is worth a
second look if anything major has happened since.
- Your room is set up. League confirmed, draft slot set, squad
size and shape set to your league's real settings.
- You know your slot's rhythm. In a snake draft the order
reverses every round, so know which picks come back-to-back for your
seat and which have a long wait either side.
During the draft
- Let picks arrive on their own. The room polls the official
draft site and fills in every pick, yours and your rivals', without you
typing anything.
- Read the PICK line before you reach. One line: the best value
at a position you still need.
- Check scarcity and survive odds beside it. A thin position or
a club running low on options is a reason to move a name up your list
even when its raw value is not the highest on the board.
- If a pick looks wrong, undo it rather than drafting around a
mistake the room has not corrected.
If something breaks
- Reset the room. The next poll rebuilds its state fresh from
the official draft site.
- Fall back to the exported board. The public snapshot at
/board needs no session and no working room to
read: sort by VORP, check tiers, draft from that until the room is back.
